One day before the Safari starts you will be picked up from the Airport by a Place2be Africa Safari representative 

and brought to the Hotel in Arusha for overnight.

Day 1) Lake Manyara National Park

Get up early, today your safari adventure begins!
After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Manyara National Park, 120 km away.
The park is named after Lake Manyara, which is located in the Rift Valley Escarpment and takes up 70% of the park.
Mother Nature has been especially kind here. In this paradisiacal place, you’ll be blown away by a mixture of dense jungle, savannah, baobab-adorned rocks and hot springs. 

 

With inhabitants such as thousands of flamingos, various other bird species,

elephants, large herds of baboons to tree-climbing lions, it offers a lot of variety and will not let you forget these images.

 

After arriving in the Accommodation you can recover from all the impressions.

Day 2) Serengeti National Park

The day’s program includes early rising so that you can reach the Serengeti National Park or, as the Maasai called it, Siringet (Endless Plains) as soon as possible.

The 6-hour drive will lead you through the Ngorongoro National Park until you reach the world-famous 14,763 km² expanse of the Serengeti National Park.

The Park is famous for the great migration of animals and is the worlds last great wildlife refuge.

 

For about 3 million animals like wild animals (hippos, crocodiles and buffalos, etc.), predators (leopards, lions and cheetahs, etc.) especially herd animals (antelopes, zebras and wildebeests, etc.) the Serengeti offers a natural habitat.

 

With fascinating impressions, you will proceed to a picnic lunch and after few more hours of game viewing to your camp/lodge.

Day 3) Serengeti Wildebeest Migration

On today’s game drive you will witness the largest annual animal migration, the wildebeest migration. The search for food and water sources leads millions of wildebeest, accompanied by thousands of zebras and antelopes, to the north of the Serengeti, following the rain. 

Every year, the brave wanderers cover a distance of 3000 km clockwise around the Serengeti. Today, on the way to the Masai Mara River, we will accompany the ungulates and their companions.

 

After witnessing this spectacular mass migration, return to your accommodation and soak up the impressions over a delicious dinner.

Day 4) Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Another day, another game drive. Today you will wake up very early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise in the Serengeti and maybe even observe predators hunting.

 

After lunch, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, accompanied by the beautiful Mother Nature and her inhabitants. Here you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 5) Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will have an early departure down into the the 600 meter deep caldera (collapsed volcano), the 8th Wonder of the World and World heritage site.
For many people, the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera in the world, is the reason for visiting Tanzania.


Named Ngorongoro (crown jewel) by the Massai, the crater is home to more than 30,000 animals, including the African Big Five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and the endangered rhino) and 500 species of birds.

 

After a spectacular game drive in the reserve, you will be transferred back to Arusha or the airport.
